Jobs of a Veterinary Technician

















A veterinary technician that usually graduates from veterinary assistant schools is also called veterinary technologist or an animal health technician. Their job is to merely assist the veterinarians. A veterinary technician is indeed important for veterinarians to have so they could focus more on most complex task that a veterinary technician can't do.

The main jobs of a veterinary technician which he/she usually learns from veterinary assistant schools include the following:

Venipuncture: This process is usually done by a veterinary technician to animals that needed to be cured. A venipuncture process involves collecting blood in order to diagnose its disease or sickness.

Radiographs: A veterinary technician is also in charge of doing x-rays for pets and animals taken to their clinics.
Tasks assigned by veterinarian in different laboratory procedures - A veterinarian usually assigned a task to a veterinary technician in some clinical laboratory works that include the following: hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, biochemistry, serology and miblocrobiology.
